Star Wars has Invaded the Galeries Lafayette in Paris

For Christmas the Galeries Lafayette of the Haussmann Boulevard in Paris (France) decorate their shopfronts with a different theme every year. 2015 is a special year for Star Wars as it is the release of the new movie The Force Awakens and the Galeries Lafayette Christmas decorations are about “Christmas on another planet” and Star Wars is the special guest of their Christmas promoting the new movie! The biggest Disney Store in France also opened at the Galeries (on the fourth floor of the main building) and of course a lot of Star Wars products are there with two big screens airing the TFA trailers! When you arrive at the Galeries you can hear the Star Wars soundtracks playing while you see the First Order Stormtroopers and Captain Phasma costumes in front of you, if you continue on the right you can meet BB-8 and see Rey’s costume, there is also the Millenium Falcon cockpit! It is just phenomenal and if you rise your head to take a look at the building you can see a TFA banner with the Millenium Falcon on it! When you get inside on the first floor of the Men building you can see a big screen airing the TFA trailers and 3 costumes from characters we’ll meet on Jakku, these costumes are from characters we haven’t seen in the trailers or pictures yet!! The decorations of the shopfronts of the main building are Lego ones representing scenes from TFA!
Paris is the place to be for Star Wars fans in France this Christmas! We are really lucky this year for Star Wars, we get the movie on December 16 (earlier than in most countries) and the Galeries Lafayette turned into Star Wars!

We have taken a lot of pictures and you can see all of them on our facebook page, here.

This one is not a Star Wars decoration but it is just wonderful, it’s the Christmas tree from the main building of the Galeries and I wanted to post the picture here (you can click on the picture to see it in full size):
