Tomorrow we’ll be in 2016 so for our last review of 2015 will be the First Order Tie Fighter of the Special Forces. This Tie Fighter is different from the one of the Empire, it’s bigger as it can contain one pilot and one gunner in the cockpit who says gunner also means more weapons to use. The colors are different too – white, black and red. (the FO Tie Fighters who are not part of the Special Forces only have one pilot and colors are just white and black so we can expect Hasbro to release one like this too!). Hasbro did a great job with this ship. The tie Fighter of the Empire I had was an old one with the small wings so the one of the First Order is obviously bigger – bigger wings and bigger cockpit. The wings are made in a softer plastic, like Poe’s X-Wing and the Resistance X-Wing. The cockpit is not accurate as in the movie the gunner and pilot sit back to back, here they sit next to each other but it’s normal Hasbro couldn’t do a giant Tie for the 3.75inch. The front cannons are missile launchers, cool thing for the kids. The ship has good paint apps and accurate to the movie which is great. There’s also a Tie Fighter pilot, he has a removable helmet, it was not necessary as we don’t see any pilots without their helmets in the movie on the First Order side. However, the removable helmet allowed the helmet to be bigger than the single carded version which is something better. I think it’s definitely a must-have in the collection, a great ship, I prefer this one to the previous versions of the Tie Fighters of the Empire.
