Force Friday II: The List Of 3.75 & 6inch Hasbro Figures

Force Friday II is next week on September 1st. It is the launch of The Last Jedi toys but there is a big problem with this. Hasbro has made no press release concerning what products will be made available during the event, it is only through leaks of toys that were put on shelves early that we know what is coming. And to make it easier for everyone, I have make a list of all the Hasbro products we know that will be available at Force Friday. Obviously there could be more but the other problem is if there are distribution troubles like previous years, not every store will get what they are supposed to receive. There is the possibility that Force Friday II will be another big mess for Hasbro but we will have to wait and see for that. One thing is sure, it is a mess in the way that there is no communication from Hasbro and that plenty of stores have put out early the figures while there is clearly written on the boxes not to put them on the shelves before September 1st, but we are obviously grateful for those leaks as well because we have an idea of what to expect on Friday.

The Last Jedi: Two New First Order Vehicles Revealed

Yesterday, the Star Wars Show revealed two new vehicles of the First Order and just small ones but they are simply HUGE vehicles!

The first one is the Dreadnought, a new cruiser. It is described as “a Mandator IV-class warship, featuring two enormous orbital autocannons for large-scale bombardments and 24 point-defense anti-aircraft cannons on its dorsal surface. It’s also big — 7,669.72 meters in length, or 25,162.8 feet.” I feel like its two big cannons are going to do some damage against the Resistance in the movie!

The second vehicle is a new walker. JJ Abrams and his team had made new walkers for The Force Awakens but it seems Rian Johnson has decided to use new ones instead for his movie. They’re called AT-M6 (All Terrain MegaCaliber Six). The names comes from the big laser cannon on its back and yes this new walker is much bigger than the AT-AT. But in many ways, it’s a re-worked version of the Empire’s walker, if you look closely there are many parts of the AT-M6 directly taken from the AT-AT.

Han Solo Spinoff: Michael K. Williams Cut From The Movie

As Phil Lord and Chris Miller parted ways with Lucasfilm on the Han Solo movie, and Ron Howard took over directing duties, it lead to additional filming to finish the film. Unfortunately, due to a reshoot scheduling conflict Michael Kenneth Williams has been cut from the movie. It’s Deadline Hollywood that got the news.

Even if it’s sad to hear this news, it’s not a disaster. Ron Howard and Kathleen Kennedy are there to make sure the movie ends up great. If Williams was cut, I would guess he had a small role and this had no major impact on the story.

Star Wars Spinoffs: Obi-Wan Kenobi In The Works

It has been the subject of rumors for over a year but now it is finally happening. Boris Krit from The Hollywood Reporter got the news that an Obi-Wan Kenobi Film is in the works!

Stephen Daldry is in talks for the film. It is at the early stages of development so there is no script yet but if Daldry signs on the project he would oversee the development and the writing. This director is best known for Billy Elliot, The Hours and The Reader.

As there is no script yet, there is no actors attached to the project so we do not know if Ewan McGregor will be back for the moment but the actor has made it clear in past interviews that if Disney calls him to reprise the role, he would be up for it.

Episode IX Is Getting A Rewrite

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Jack Thorne has been hired to work on the script of Episode IX.

Colin Trevorrow, the director, and his writing partner Derek Connolly were working on the script but it apparently needs some rewrites hence why Thorne has been brought up.

About Thorne, he is a British writer. He wrote on the upcoming Julia Roberts movie Wonder.

Episode IX is eyeing a January 2018 start date for filming and will be released on May 24, 2019.
