Solo a Star Wars Story just received a 4-minute standing ovation at the Festival de Cannes at the end of the premiere screening and it’s just something truly amazing. The film received a warm reception. But it doesn’t necessarily mean, the movie was extremely well received by everyone at Cannes as The Hollywood Reporter reports, there wasn’t a lot of cheers or laugh during the fun scenes. Things can be easily explained though, the audience in Cannes is expecting arthouse cinema and are often not sensitive to tentpole movies or scifi movies like Star Wars. However, Solo receiving a standing ovation is still something amazing to see and is proof most loved the movie.
