What are the Midi-Chlorians? They were conceived by George Lucas in 1977 at the same time as A New Hope, he first mentioned them in an interview in 1977 explaining: “It is said that certain creatures are born with a higher awareness of the Force than humans. Their brains are different; they have more midi-chlorians in their cells.” It is something that was there right from the start even if their first mention in the movies was with The Phantom Menace. They simply add information and details of how the Force works and completes what Obi-Wan said in A New Hope:
“It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.”
“Midi-chlorians are a microscopic life form that resides within all living cells. Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you’ll hear them speaking to you.” – Qui-Gon Jinn

  1. Great page, I like how you encompass the entire trilogy and don’t just favor one part of it. I have tweeted to you before I’m CloneCommanderG. Gonna add this site to my favorites, great work.

  2. The Midi-Chlorian Center is one of my favorite blogs, and I wanted to tell you I have nominated you for the “One Lovely Blog” award, and posted your nomination and link to your site on my most recent blog post:
The nomination is the award in-itself (there is no further voting), and it’s purpose is to give recognition to wonderful and unique blogs, as well as give our readers a chance to see where we (the bloggers) go for inspiration and fun. As the recipient of this award feel free to download and post the “One Lovely Blog” graphic in your sidebar, as well as nominate 15 blogs of your own (if you go to the link above it gives you the “rules”). Keep up the GREAT work!

  3. Hi ThomasStorai! I read the story you wrote for —about your take on The Siege of Mandalore. I just wanted to let you know that it is really nice and I enjoyed reading it.
